Let is snow let is snow let is snow…

Saturday 27th October. It’s 8:45 am and we wake up and dress fast to go to the new Pickapocket café called ‘viltnis, that opened yesterday. On Saturdays they open at 9:00 am, and it’s brunch day with pancakes and coffee for 3,50 €, so we didn’t want to miss it. The café is just 2 min away from flat nº 7. I wake up with Lisa’s voice saying: –“Keila… they open the café in 10 minutes, are you coming?”– and me: –“mhhh…. I’m coming… 5 minutes more…”– and Lisa: –“Oh, by the way, it’s snowing”. I reply with: –“Whaaaaaaaaaaaattt!!!?” and I jump out of my bed and run to the window to see the snow on the ground. Autumn had just started and we were still getting used to walking in the forest covered in red, brown, orange and yellow… and suddenly, a white blanket covers them all. I start jumping like a little child on Christmas day, and run to the wardrobe, where I take my skiing anorak from the air bag I put it before coming here. 5 minutes later, we go out to the café, and as we are walking, we leave our footprints on the white frosting that covers the little town of Herrnhut. Weird October, but beautiful.
